Usually the bench vise you see in workshops has one end fixed and it takes some time to rotate the screwed spindle and fix your job. the specialty of a two way bench vise is that it uses a double threaded screw spindle (as in turn buckle) , so your both ends will be movable, and it will take less time to fix your job.
