Cycle Operated Water Pump

A reciprocating pump can work only at low speeds due to cavitation and separation. This speeds are so low (50-60rpm) that they can be easily achieved by human effort. Thus we can easily operate a reciprocating pump with help of ordinary bicyle. All you need is a piston cylinder arrangement, bicycle, power transmitting element. This project is very useful in rural areas where there are power cuts.
